Birdie time at Bromborough

MEMBERS and visitors to Bromborough Golf Club are in for a hoot when they play from now on after a kind gesture from one of its members.

Following the necessary part removal of an old Oak next to the path approaching the 10th green at the Wirral-based club, a member suggested the remaining trunk might be suitable for a wood carving.

An owl was suggested and Mobberley-based chainsaw sculptor Tim Burgess was commissioned to complete the project. The member kindly agreed to meet the cost of the 10ft high sculpture that is now complete and the finished article is a fabulous addition to the 153-yard par three hole.
