CARUS Green member and England amateur, Adam Chapman, is celebrating after being selected to represent England in the European Men’s Team Championships in France next month.
Chapman will join five other elite players taking part in the championship, which takes place at Chantilly Golf Club, just north of Paris from July 2-9.
News of his selection came just days ago and was announced by England Golf Men’s A Squad manager, Kevin Tucker.
In-form Chapman has made the cut in his last five tournaments and secured sixth place at the Scottish Amateur Championships at Gullane in May and ninth at the St Andrew’s Links Trophy at the beginning of June.
“I’m absolutely over the moon at having been selected to play at Chantilly and am really looking forward to it. It should be a fantastic week and is a great honour,” explained Chapman.
“I’d like to thank everyone for their continuous support, particularly Carus Green PGA professional, Andrew Pickering, who has been assisting me in improving every aspect of my game. Every time I come home from a tournament, I see Andrew and we work on the next step. It’s a process that certainly seems to be working!”
Pickering added: “Everyone at Carus Green is delighted that Adam will be participating in the championships and we’re behind him all the way.
“His game’s in great shape this season and he has been working extremely hard to maintain that form. We’re looking forward to celebrating his inevitable, further successes.”
