SOME of Lancashire’s best up-and-coming young players enjoyed a coaching experience at Marriott Worsley Park.
The young players involved are looking to make their mark in the county’s junior squads and they were able to show their skills on the practice areas and the course watched by the county coaches and officials including junior chairman Andrew Barr who has seen the number of boys being coached increase from 50 to 250 since he came to office in 2012.
Ashton-under-Lyne’s England star Luke Kelly was also in attendance and he was used as a model by the coaches to show the young players the work and practice they had to do to achieve his status. It was a great step in the development of the young players who will be looking to develop their skills during the winter months as they aim to make the county squads in 2016.
