More close calls at Mottram Hall

MOTTRAM Hall was a great venue for the Manchester Alliance to complete the first half of its winter season with some great scores in all sections. Stockport assistant Danny Wardrop has enjoyed a great start to the season and extended his lead at the top of the professional Order of Merit after finishing with a share of top spot in the individual pro section posting 39 points, along with Ellesmere’s Anthony Millar.

Bramall Park assistant Liam Burgess found a great partner in club colleague Chris Jackson who boosted Liam’s individual score of 33 points to 45.

In the card play-off it just edged out Kris Andrews and Mark Davin (Ashton-on-Mersey) and Tony Stevens and sponsor Lewis Nunn (Davenport). Also in the prizes in the Pro-Am section were Hart Common’s Kevin Parry and Shaun Kelly on 44 and Danny Wardrop with his dad Mike (Didsbury) on 43. Home duo Charles Herbert and Ross Birch were on fire in the Am-Am section carding 46 points to finish two ahead of Danny Fox and Steve Finnan (Stamford) and three clear of LeighÕs Dave Rowland and Shaun Bate.
