PAUL Woodcock is relishing his move to be the assistant professional at Manchester Golf Club.
The former Alderley Edge assistant and golf operations manager at Tytherington, has completed his three-year PGA course and boasts a varied experience in golf since he began playing 11 years ago at Birchwood.
Paul said: “I turned professional in 2012 and as an amateur I represented South Lancashire for two seasons.
“I have always had a keen interest in golf so it made sense that after leaving high school I attended Myerscough College to take a National Diploma in Golf Studies.
“This gave me great opportunities to play, practice and learn and also meet a great number of people in all areas of the golf industry.
“Now to work with Manchester’s legendary and long-serving professional Brian Connor gives me a great opportunity in teaching and fitting as these are the areas I have always wanted to specialise in and the top class facilities at Manchester have everything available to complement these.
“The club has been really welcoming, both staff and members and I already have several members on board for lessons. “I am really excited to get into the new season after such a positive start in the winter months.”
