PRESTBURY’S Thomas Kirton won the 2018 Bromborough Bowl after an aggregated 144 over the two rounds, with a handicap of +1 posting scores of 73 and 71 to take the gross first prize.
Padeswood & Buckley’s Ben Chamberlain led the gross leaderboard after firing an impressive 68 in tough conditions, Kirton was tied third with Jack Nicholson of Vicars Cross after round one, with a gross one-over-par, and Bromborough’s Robert Cull was in second place with a 72. Chamberlain also led the nett leaderboard with 71 after his impressive first round.
Kirton went on to improve on his first round 73 by two shots and fired a round of 71 clinching the Bowl prize. Bromborough’s Richard Jones improved on his first round 86 to shoot a gross 75 in round two to secure the overall nett prize with an aggregated score of 146.
