A TELFORD golfer has earned the chance to win an all-expenses-paid dream golf holiday to the Kingdom of Morocco, after winning the latest ‘Road to Morocco’ event at Telford Hotel & Golf Resort.
Andrew Palmer, 50, who plays off nine, was crowned champion at the club’s sponsored medal event, one of a series of nationwide tournaments organised by the Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) and QHotels, the UK’s largest golf resort operator.
The ‘Road to Morocco’ series encompasses all 11 of QHotels’ golf resorts, with 22 member events, for both men and women – with each winner being entered into a draw to win a trip to Morocco. Palmer has now been entered into the draw which will see two lucky competition winners from the series – one male, one female – win a four-night Moroccan golf holiday for two people, with flights included.
Amine Boughaleb, MNTO’s director for UK and Ireland, explained: “The ‘Road to Morocco’ has given us a fantastic opportunity to work with the prestigious QHotels group to give UK golfers the chance to experience our excellent golf facilities.
“We’d like to extend our warmest congratulations to Andrew, the winner of the ‘Road to Morocco’ event at Telford Hotel & Golf Resort, and wish him the very best of luck in the draw later this year.
“Whether Andrew is lucky enough to win the trip or not, we hope we will soon be welcoming him to the beautiful, unspoiled golfing paradise that is Morocco.”
The burgeoning Kingdom of Morocco has 29 golf courses to be enjoyed in year-round sunshine – plus 11 more under construction – and, with short flight times from the UK and Ireland, it is a hugely attractive alternative to the more traditional golf destinations of Europe.
